Over one year has passed since Stiga introduced the first Carbonado blades on the market, the Carbonado 145 and Carbonado 190 both reinforced by TeXtreme®. These two unique blades have fulfilled the markets high expectations. The intention was to create unique carbon blades with unique carbon material and playing characteristics.

The blades have been highly praised from the best Table Tennis nation in the World, China. Many of the current world class players and future world class players are using these two blades.

“The combination of the finest wood, high-end TeXtreme® material and craftsmanship make STIGA’s blades the best that nature and science can offer says Jonas Wilén”, Product Manager of STIGA Sports AB.

Now Stiga have added two more Carbonado blades into the Carbonado product family, Carbonado 45 and Carbonado 90. These blades are a bit slower compared to Carbonado 145 and Carbonado 190, due to the lighter TeXtreme® material used, all in order to give all type of players an option to find their optimum Carbonado blade.

"We strongly believe in these blades and also in our close co-operation with the TeXtreme® team. They help us find unique combinations of the material which is extremely valuable for us”, Jonas Wilén continues.

In Carbonado 45 and Carbonado 90 a TeXtreme® carbon fiber fabric is used that weighs less grams per square meter compared to what is used in Carbonado 145 and Carbonado 190, rendering the difference in speed and playing characteristics.

In addition to the table tennis, current use of TeXtreme® is prevalent in Formula 1, America’s Cup, NASCAR and Le Mans racing; in the manufacture of golf clubs, surfboards, tennis racquets, bicycles, rowing shells, skis, snowboards and ice hockey sticks; and in various industrial and advanced aerospace applications.
