TeXtreme® key to the new COBRA PUMA GOLF driver

Cobra Puma Golf has taken the Golf industry to a new level. Through becoming inspired by space they’re now pushing the boundaries in golf by presenting their new driver reinforced by TeXtreme®, Cobra King Ltd.

“Everything we want to do in this golf club is to reduce weight in very specific areas so we can keep the center of gravity low and by using TeXtreme® we’re able to do that. TeXtreme® helps us to lower the weight but also get that smooth surface on the crown that’s so important for reducing the air resistance.” says Mike Yagley, Director Innovation & Research –Cobra Puma.

To make the crown lighter Cobra Puma golf added TeXtreme®, which allows for more weight to be repositioned. By making a lighter, stronger crown that reduces the weight so it can be redistributed to the correct areas of the club head will make it deliver better mass properties. Thus longer, straighter shots every time. What does this mean to golfers? More distance through higher Launch, less spin and more ball speed.

“The KING LTD Driver represents COBRA’s finest technology without compromise. Created with premium materials and state-of-the-art technology, the KING LTD driver is our longest & straightest driver we’ve ever created.” Says Bob Philion, President CEO Cobra Puma Golf

“TeXtreme® is becoming the new standard carbon fiber reinforcement for high-end applications where low weight and performance is key. We’re proud to be a part of and help products to be in the front of innovation” says Henrik Blycker, CEO of Oxeon.

TeXtreme® is the next generation of carbon fiber material in the sporting goods industry. It is based on using Spread Tows instead of yarns to achieve materials that are used to produce ultra light weight and high-performance composite products. Companies utilizing the TeXtreme® Technology achieve better properties on weight, stiffness, strength, etc. compared to those using other conventional carbon fiber materials.

“We believe this driver utilizes the best technology and innovation that Cobra Golf ever seen, we are confident that with Cobra King Ltd we have a driver that truly fit for a king” says Bob Philion, President CEO Cobra Puma Golf

Many sports have seen the use of TeXtreme® make an immediate and dominant impact on performance, among others, Formula 1 racing, Americas Cup, NASCAR, Le Mans, ice hockey, bicycles, tennis and surf boards.
