TeXtreme® 360° Discontinuous Fiber Composites
TeXtreme® 360° is developed for high-performance composite applications where weight reduction, processing efficiency, and structural integrity are essential. This tape-based Discontinuous Fiber Composite (DFC) is produced using randomly oriented, ultra-thin Spread Tow Tapes. The result is a robust and versatile material that outperforms metal alloys and conventional continuous fiber composites in many applications.
The discontinuous fiber architecture enables efficient part shaping, even over complex geometries, while providing in-plane isotropy for uniform mechanical properties in all directions. This supports flexible laminate design, reduces ply count, and enhances damage tolerance without compromising weight targets.
TeXtreme® 360° is available in both dry and partially impregnated formats and is fully compatible with standard prepreg materials. Its adaptable structure allows for streamlined integration into multi-material assemblies, contributing to lightweight, high-precision composite components.
